Twenty Years of Episcopal Ministry for Bishop Irinej

Diocese
His Grace Bishop Irinej Dobrijević, Bishop of Washington–New York and Eastern America

Today marks twenty years since His Grace Bishop Irinej (Dobrijević) was consecrated a hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, an occasion the Diocese of Eastern America is marking with an announcement of thanksgiving and reflection on two decades of episcopal service.

Bishop Irinej, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, has served as Bishop of Washington-New York and Eastern America since 2016, the diocese under whose omophorion Saint Sava Cathedral falls. His consecration two decades ago began a ministry that has since brought him to parishes throughout the Eastern American Diocese, including our own cathedral here in Parma, where he has celebrated the Divine Liturgy and shared in the life of our parish community on many occasions, most recently for this year's Vidovdan celebration.

On behalf of the clergy and faithful of Saint Sava Cathedral, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to His Grace on this milestone and our continued prayers for many more years of blessed and fruitful service.

Many Years, Your Grace! Axios!
